Angular Velocity

Angular velocity measures how fast something is rotating or spinning. It is equal to the angle turned through in one second and is measured in degrees per second or radians per second. If clockwise rotation is defined as positive, then anticlockwise rotation is negative.

In this animation, the angular velocity is initially zero and you can vary it using the slider. Use the + button to increase the angular velocity and the - button to decrease it.
